Konnos Beach, Sand beach in Cape Greco national park, Agia Napa, Cyprus

Konnos Beach is a small sheltered bay with soft golden sand and shallow, clear water, set within the Cape Greco national park near Agia Napa, Cyprus. The bay is framed by rocky cliffs and pine-covered hills, giving it a natural, open feel with no large buildings in sight.

Konnos Bay lies on the Cape Greco coast, a stretch of shoreline long avoided by shipping because it sits far from the main settlements of the island. Local accounts hold that the caves and rocky inlets along this coast were used by smugglers in the 19th century, who landed goods in the bay out of sight.

The beach sits within the Cape Greco national park, which explains why the area has no large buildings nearby and the surroundings feel natural and open. Local visitors tend to come on weekends for a quieter day by the sea, away from the busier resort beaches around Agia Napa.

The beach is reached by a winding road, with a small parking area near the Grecian Park Hotel and stairs leading down to the sand. Getting there early in the day is a good idea in peak season, as sunbeds fill up quickly and the parking area has limited space.

The white wooden walkway at the left end of the beach leads out over the water to a small platform with a blue mat, and small boats float just beyond it. A cluster of dark rocks juts into the sea at the centre-right of the cove, a spot snorkellers head for to see fish close to the surface.
