Rosenburg Castle

The castle stands on a rock formation above the Kamp Valley, featuring 13 towers, ornate balconies, and extensive fortifications spanning multiple architectural periods.

First documented in 1175 under Gozwin de Rosenberg, the castle underwent major transformations in 1487 when the Grabner brothers converted it from medieval to Renaissance style.

The castle maintains a collection of period furniture, weapons, and artworks displayed across numerous staterooms and halls, representing Austrian noble life through centuries.

Visitors can access guided tours of the castle daily from April to October, with special rates available for groups and opportunities to book medieval banquets.

The castle contains Europe's largest preserved Renaissance jousting yard, where regular tournaments and equestrian demonstrations take place throughout the summer season.
