The Josefskirche stands at the intersection of Schönaugürtel and Schönaugasse, featuring a three-nave basilica structure in Florentine Renaissance style.

Prince Bishop Leopold Schuster initiated the construction in 1903, and the church opened in 1908 at a cost of 1,006,653 Kronen.

The church houses a main altar with an image of Saint Joseph holding Jesus, surrounded by angels representing the Catholic restoration in Styria.
