Basilika Mariä Geburt, Frauenkirchen

The Basilica Mariä Geburt features a double-tower facade reaching 53 meters high with eight side chapels and extensive stucco decorations throughout the interior.

The original structure from the 14th century was destroyed during the First Turkish Siege of Vienna in 1529, leading to reconstruction by the Esterházy family in 1668.

The high altar displays a Gothic-period gilded statue of the Virgin Mary, known as Maria Lactans, which remains a central focus for religious devotion.

The basilica maintains regular opening hours from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily, offering visitors access to its religious services and architectural elements.

Two separate crypts lie beneath the main church, with one designated for religious order members and another for the Esterházy family burials.
