Justizanstalt Innsbruck

Justizanstalt Innsbruck is a correctional facility located in Innsbruck on Völser Straße 63. The three-story concrete building houses detention areas for both male and female prisoners in separate wings.

Construction began in 1960 on the site of a former brick factory and the main building opened in 1967. A women's section was added in 1972 to expand capacity.

The facility implements rehabilitation programs and vocational training opportunities to prepare inmates for their return to Austrian society after completing their sentences.
