Burg Loch, Cave castle ruin in Pinswang, Austria.
The castle ruins stand at 855 meters on the southern slope of Schwarzenberg mountain, built within a natural grotto measuring 35 meters wide and 12 meters deep.
Established in the 13th century by the lords of Rettenberg-Hoheneck, the castle first appeared in records through castle knight Conradus de Foramine in 1265.
The structure represents medieval defensive architecture, incorporating natural cave formations into its design while maintaining historical elements from the 13th and 14th centuries.
The castle ruins retain sections of their original walls, including a front structure from the 13th century and potential remnants of a small gate tower.
In 1552, an inventory recorded 394 Falcon balls discovered at the site, suggesting its defensive role during the conflicts with the Schmalkaldic League in 1546.
