Burg Thalberg

Burg Thalberg is a medieval castle in Dechantskirchen featuring two square towers positioned on an east-west axis as part of its main structure. The site displays typical defensive architecture with thick stone walls and narrow windows characteristic of this period.

The Lords of Krumbach built this castle between 1171 and 1180, with the first written mention appearing in 1204. These early dates mark its establishment as a fortified stronghold in the region.
