Organo della Hofkirche ad Innsbruck, Renaissance pipe organ at Hofkirche, Innsbruck, Austria
The Ebert organ features two manuals, fifteen registers, and a pedal system mounted on the wall of the church presbytery above the western sacristy door.
Master Jörg Ebert from Ravensburg completed the organ construction in 1561 after receiving the commission from Emperor Ferdinand I in 1555.
The instrument maintains its original wind channels, windchests, pipe stocks, register mechanics, and main shaft board, representing Renaissance organ construction techniques.
The organ receives regular maintenance to preserve its functionality, with tuning set at 445 Hz using a meantone temperament system with adjustment at E flat.
This pipe organ stands as the largest surviving Renaissance organ in Austria, containing six original registers and five reconstructed ones.
