St. Vitus, Gothic church in Kufstein, Austria
The St. Vitus church features a three-nave hall structure with a polygonal choir conclusion, combining Gothic architecture with Baroque modifications from 1660.
Construction of the Gothic building was completed by 1420, replacing a previous church, and underwent Baroque transformations between 1660 and 1661.
The church interior displays Rudolf Stolz's wall paintings from 1929, depicting Old Testament prophets, four evangelists, and representations of final things.
Located at Pfarrplatz 2 in central Kufstein, the church maintains regular worship services for approximately 6000 baptized Christians under administrator Mag Roland Rasser.
The church bells include five distinct pieces, with the oldest dating from 1706 and four additional ones cast by Grassmayr in 1948.
