Oswaldiberg is a mountain summit in Carinthia that rises above the surrounding landscape and offers views across nearby valleys and hillsides. The peak is surrounded by meadows and forested slopes that characterize the terrain along the climbing route.

Oswaldiberg was first documented in 1784 and was later also known as Katharina-Bergl. A path to the summit and its frequently visited church existed centuries ago; it was steeper than today and ran straight up to the top. In the early 1960s a new sunken-lane path was built to ease the gradient, and in 1963 an asphalt road reached the summit.

The summit church, probably built in the 15th century and first documented in 1769, holds services only at Christmas and Easter. Its viewing tower, added in 1902 and rebuilt in 1985, can be climbed for a fee. The Gasthaus Berger, which served pilgrims in the 18th century, has been closed for over ten years.

The ascent requires good physical fitness and proper mountain gear for safe hiking. Check weather conditions before starting, as conditions at the summit can change rapidly.

The summit features multiple intersecting trails that create a network of paths, allowing hikers to choose different routes based on their preferences.
