Liebburg, Lienz, Town hall in Lienz, Austria.

Liebburg is a four-story town hall in Lienz featuring two baroque round towers topped with onion domes positioned at the southern edge of the main square. The building combines Renaissance and baroque elements in its external form.

The Barons of Wolkenstein-Rodenegg built Liebburg between 1605 and 1608, replacing the original structure destroyed by fire in 1609. The reconstruction following this disaster established the building we see today.

The Renaissance doorway displays the Wolkenstein coat of arms above its entrance, linking the building to the local noble family. Visitors notice these heraldic details while passing through the main square.

The building sits at the southern edge of Lienz's central square and is easily accessible from anywhere in the old town. The baroque towers with their distinctive onion domes serve as a good landmark for locating the place.

During the Advent season, the building's windows transform into a large advent calendar, with each numbered window illuminated daily. This winter lighting display becomes a popular sight during the Christmas market season.
