Stockerauer Au contains multiple hiking paths through wetlands and forest sections, offering visitors opportunities to observe local flora and fauna.

The area underwent significant changes when ash trees, which constituted 60 percent of the forest population, experienced widespread mortality, leading to a transformation of the landscape.

The forest hosts annual tree planting celebrations where each municipality of Lower Austria plants its own tree, strengthening regional environmental connections.

Visitors can access three different running routes measuring 4, 7.5, and 10 kilometers, while educational nature paths provide information about local ecosystems.

The forest management team conducts manual and mechanical clearing of shrubs to create space for new native trees, including oaks and hornbeams.
