Zirl parish church, Religious monument in Zirl, Austria.

Zirl parish church is a church building in Zirl featuring four aisles within its nave and ornate interior decoration. The space is defined by large-scale frescoes depicting biblical scenes, all created by artist Franz Plattner to enhance the spiritual environment.

The building was constructed in 1847-1848 under architect Alois Haas, combining contemporary design with older structural elements. A Gothic tower from 1391 was incorporated into the new structure and remains visible to this day.

The parish church serves as a gathering place where the community celebrates religious occasions and milestones together. You can observe how sacred artworks and the interior decoration create a space for both personal reflection and collective worship.

The church is located on Kirchstraße and provides wheelchair accessible entrances for all visitors. The building is open to the public during religious services and community events throughout the year.

The architecture blends rounded arches typical of Romanesque design with Gothic pointed arches at the altar. This mixture of two different building styles creates a visually unexpected interplay that visitors often overlook.
