The Zirl parish church features four aisles in its nave, with decorative paintings adorning the walls and ceilings created by artist Franz Plattner.
Construction of the present church building occurred in 1847-1848 under architect Alois Haas, incorporating elements from a Gothic tower dating to 1391.
The interior walls display extensive frescoes depicting biblical scenes, including the Nativity, Resurrection of Christ, and the Holy Trinity above the altar.
