Schloss Krastowitz, Educational castle in Klagenfurt, Austria.
Schloss Krastowitz is an educational castle in Klagenfurt with three stories arranged in a rectangular design and a tower-like entrance featuring tall windows framed by pilasters. The upper floor displays rounded arch windows, and the interior contains five seminar rooms, two craft workshops, and a celebration hall.
The castle was built in the 18th century and originally belonged to the Mannsdorf barons. It later passed to Johann von Schoberg before the Kaiserstein family took ownership in 1792.
Since 1957, this castle operates as a learning venue run by the Carinthian Chamber of Agriculture. It hosts seminars and workshops that serve as a hub for professional development and skill-building in the region.
The site offers free parking for visitors attending educational programs. The interior layout with multiple seminar and craft spaces allows for various types of events and activities to take place.
A statue of peasant liberator Hans Kudlich stands in front of the castle, erected in 2001 near a preserved moor area. The monument reflects the region's history of agricultural reform and social change.
