The castle consists of a two-story structure with three wings enclosing a courtyard, featuring architectural elements from the 16th and 17th centuries.
Andreas Weiß, who served as caretaker at Burg Twimberg, commissioned the construction of Schloss Weißenau in the early 16th century.
The banquet hall in the southwest wing contains baroque stucco decorations and a fireplace displaying Bishop von Stadion's coat of arms.
