Pfarrkirche Pillichsdorf, Religious monument in Pillichsdorf, Austria.

The Pfarrkirche Pillichsdorf is a church with three naves, where the center section shows Romanesque features and the choir was added in the 15th century in Gothic style. The building reflects different periods of its development, with a tower that shapes the village skyline.

The building was founded around 1322 and belonged to the Diocese of Passau at that time. From 1330 to 1724 it shared pastoral care with Ulrichskirchen, serving as a joint parish for the local population.

The high altar, created between 1761 and 1762, shows through paintings by Johann Panter the story of Saint Martin sharing his cloak with the poor. This artwork shapes the interior and tells a story central to the religious life of the community.

A tower within the church houses a museum with over 130 items showcasing regional history and can be climbed by visitors. The height and views from the tower make the visit a memorable experience worth taking time for.

The Loyp organ from 1847 contains more than 900 pipes and stands as an impressive musical instrument within the church. The oldest bell in the building dates from 1715 and was cast by the bell maker Johann Baptist Dival.
