Wurbauerkogel

Wurbauerkogel is a mountain in Windischgarsten that rises to 858 meters and offers views across the Upper Austrian landscape and surrounding valleys from its peak. The location is reachable through hiking trails or a cable car service.

The mountain developed into a tourist destination over many decades with marked hiking paths and viewpoints being added gradually. The cable car was later installed to make access easier for more visitors.

The mountain stands as a representation of Upper Austrian outdoor recreation, where visitors participate in nature activities while learning about local environmental preservation.

The best time to visit is from May to October when the cable car operates and weather conditions are stable. Hikers can use the trails year-round but should wear appropriate footwear and dress for changing mountain conditions.
