Pfarrkirche Mariä Himmelfahrt

The church features a two-nave, four-bay hall structure with octagonal pillars and intricate vaulted ceiling patterns extending across the interior space.

In 1147, Otto von Machland transferred ownership of the church to Säbnich Monastery as a donation, marking its establishment as a religious institution.

The church maintains its position as a central religious site in the Diocese of Linz, conducting regular services and community gatherings throughout the year.

Located at the highest point northeast of the market square in Königswiesen, the church opens its doors for worship services under administrator Mag. Lic. Marek Nawrot.

The church contains remnants of two older gables in its attic space and preserves original stone masonry paintings from the 13th century tower construction.
