Schloss Drösiedl, Renaissance castle in Ludweis-Aigen, Austria.
The three-story castle forms a square structure with Renaissance arcades, surrounded by deep ditches filled with stone rubble on elevated ground.
The castle belonged to Nikolaus der Dreyzidler in 1283 and remained under Hofkirchen family ownership from 1427 until 1612, undergoing major renovations.
The castle chapel contains barrel vaults, polychrome keystones, and a large oval painting depicting Saint Benedict and Saint Scholastica in an acanthus frame.
The privately owned castle remains closed to visitors, but exterior views and the surrounding grounds offer perspective on the Renaissance architecture.
The arcade courtyard displays pure Renaissance style architecture in its original form, maintaining the authentic elements from the construction period.
