Wallfahrtskirche Kaltenbrunn

Wallfahrtskirche Kaltenbrunn is a pilgrimage church positioned on the eastern slope of the valley, featuring a steep saddle roof, round-arched windows, and an octagonal baroque tower crowned with an onion dome. The choir section rises above the nave with triple-stepped buttresses and pointed arch windows that define its structure.

The original chapel was founded in 1285 following a vow made after a tournament incident in Milan. Over the centuries it became an important pilgrimage destination, undergoing several renovations and expansions.

The Gothic Madonna from 1400 in the Chapel of Grace draws pilgrims who come to pray before this revered image. The surrounding baroque medallions depicting the rosary mysteries create a focus for devotion and spiritual reflection.
