Lourdes Kapelle, Krumbach

The Lourdes Kapelle features a rectangular structure with larch shingle exterior walls and steep roofing, reaching 9.5 meters at its highest point.

The original chapel from 1880 was replaced by this new construction, which opened in July 2016 after extensive community involvement in its development.

The chapel incorporates traditional regional architectural elements through its use of wood and stone, reflecting the building methods of Bregenzerwald farmhouses.

Located 1.5 kilometers north of Krumbach center at 710 meters above sea level, the chapel provides eight benches that accommodate twenty-four worshippers.

The wooden facade undergoes natural color transformation, developing distinct black tones on the southern side and silver-grey hues on the northern exposure.
