The villa underwent several construction phases from the 1st century to its final transformation into a palace during the 4th century AD.
The villa features 500 square meters of Roman mosaics, representing the largest mosaic collection discovered in Austria.
The archaeological site remains open to visitors throughout the year, with informational panels guiding through the ancient structure.
Researchers found gravestones mentioning Marcus Cocceius Caupianus, a prince of the Celtic Boii tribe who received Roman citizenship.
