Münze Hall

The Hall Mint Museum exhibits an extensive collection of minting equipment, historical coins, and traditional coin-making machinery within medieval castle walls.

From the 15th to 18th centuries, the mint produced silver Thalers, which later influenced the name and development of the American dollar currency.

The museum displays the complete process of medieval coin production through original tools, machinery, and demonstrations of traditional minting techniques.

Visitors can access the museum Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with parking available at the Unterer Stadtplatz Garage.

Each visitor receives the opportunity to create their own commemorative coin using historical machinery, following centuries-old minting methods.
