Royal Palace, Royal residence in Belgium

The Royal Palace of Brussels is the King's administrative residence and main workplace, where he works daily with his staff.

In the 11th century, it was a castle built by the Dukes of Brabant.

Every summer, following the National Holiday on 21 July, the Palace opens its doors to the public.

The palace is not used as a royal residence, as the king and his family live in the Royal Palace of Laeken on the outskirts of Brussels.

Its facade is longer than that of Buckingham Palace.
