Navapolack

Navapolack is an industrial city in Vitebsk Region that spreads along the Dvina River, combining residential neighborhoods with production facilities. The city sits at an elevation of 133 meters (436 feet) and covers approximately 48 square kilometers (18 square miles).

The city was founded in 1958 to advance industrial development in Belarus. Five years later, the Naftan Oil Refinery was built, becoming the region's largest employer.

Both Belarusian and Russian are spoken in everyday life by residents. Local organizations regularly host festivals and events that shape the cultural rhythm of the city.

The city has a streetcar network connecting residential areas to work zones and schools. This makes it easy to navigate between different parts of the city on foot.

The city is home to one of Belarus's largest oil refineries, which processes crude oil for export to other Eastern European countries. A dense pipeline network connects this facility to markets across the region.
