Davyd-Haradok, Administrative center in Stolin District, Belarus
The town lies along the Goryn River in the Brest Region, occupying 1239 hectares with a population of approximately 5,700 inhabitants.
Founded in 1100 by Prince David, grandson of Yaroslav the Wise, the settlement received its name after becoming part of his territory instead of Vladimir Principality.
The local historical museum preserves artifacts from archaeological excavations revealing urban settlements dating back to the 11th and 12th centuries.
Located at coordinates 52°3′20″N 27°12′50″E, Davyd-Haradok serves as the second largest administrative center in the Stolin district of Belarus.
By 1760, the town established itself as a major trading center with 50 shops operating in the market square selling grains, fish, and honey.
