National Holocaust Monument, Monument at Wellington and Booth Streets intersection in Ottawa, Canada
The National Holocaust Monument comprises six concrete triangular segments forming a star shape, with interior spaces for gathering and reflection.
The establishment of this monument began with Laura Grosman, whose family included a Polish Holocaust survivor, leading to the National Holocaust Monument Act in 2011.
The monument includes interpretive exhibits and murals featuring Edward Burtynsky's photographs of Holocaust locations, creating spaces for education and remembrance.
Visitors can access the memorial daily from 7 AM to 9 PM without admission fees, with parking available at the nearby Canadian War Museum.
The monument incorporates views of the Peace Tower and features concrete structures that create specific angles to frame different perspectives of Ottawa's downtown.
