Jinsha site, Archaeological site in China
Jinsha is a major archaeological site in Chengdu, Sichuan, China.
The Jinsha site was accidentally discovered in February 2001 during real estate construction.
Named for the nearby Jinsha River, the Golden Sand river, this massive site signifies the relocation of the capital of the ancient Shu Kingdom from Sanxingdui.
This now tourist site has a museum built on top showcasing the unearthed artifacts. Hence it's perfect for historians and tourists alike.
Its significance lies in the discovery of previously unknown cultural relics from China's Bronze Age.
