Jinci Temple

Welcome to the Jin Temple, located in the Mahe Village of Mahe Township in Lingshi County, Shanxi Province, China. This temple was built during the Yuan Dynasty and has been renovated multiple times during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. In 2006, it was listed as one of the sixth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. The Jin Temple is situated on a north-south axis and covers an area of 1374 square meters. The main buildings along the central axis include the main hall, offering hall, and stage. On either side of the central axis are the bell and drum towers and side halls. The main hall and offering hall were built during the Yuan Dynasty, while the rest of the buildings were constructed during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The main hall was built in the third year of the Yuan Zhi Zheng period (1343 AD) and has a width of three bays and a depth of four rafters. The front eaves are supported by a corridor and the roof is suspended with a mountain-shaped top. The beam structure consists of four rafters and two columns in the front and three columns in the back. The offering hall has a square plan and a single-eaved gable roof. It is located on the same axis as the main hall and is connected to it by a corridor. Visitors to the Jin Temple can admire the exquisite architecture and learn about the history and culture of the Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties.
