Sankt Gangolf, Parish church in Theuerstadt, Bamberg, Germany.
Sankt Gangolf features two towers with dome caps and stands as a three-aisled basilica incorporating Gothic, Romanesque, Baroque, and Rococo architectural elements.
The church originated between 1057 and 1059 under Bishop Gunther's direction, with the consecration of the current structure taking place in 1063.
The church housed a prestigious school for noble youths and clerics, where medieval author Hugo von Trimberg taught between 1260 and 1306.
The building underwent extensive restoration work from 2016 to 2019, ensuring the preservation of its architectural features for future generations.
A relic containing Saint Gangolf's skull, brought from Eichstätt, remains stored within the church's walls.
