Wallfahrtskirche Unschuldige Kinder in Heiligenstatt

The Wallfahrtskirche Unschuldige Kinder contains three ceiling frescoes by Nikolaus Miller illustrating the pilgrimage history through detailed religious scenes and local imagery.

In 1373, Bishop Heinrich Krapff consecrated the initial chapel following events involving a stolen host from Pfarrkirche St.Rupert, establishing a pilgrimage destination.

The church maintains a collection of religious artifacts, including a gold and silver monstrance from 1721 containing the foot relic of a child.

Since 1379, the church functions as the burial location for Schloss Tüßling owners, continuing this tradition through multiple generations.
