Landschaftspark

The park's establishment in 1782 came through a decree by Prince Charles Theodore of Bavaria, who intended it as a recreational space for soldiers during peacetime.

The garden layout demonstrates the principles of 18th-century landscape design with carefully positioned pavilions, monuments, and structured pathways that create defined viewing perspectives.

Visitors can access multiple entry points around the park perimeter, with benches, restrooms, and designated picnic areas distributed throughout the grounds.

The Rumford monument stands within the park as a tribute to Sir Benjamin Thompson, who contributed to the garden's initial creation and development.
