Römermuseum Obernburg, Roman archaeology museum in Obernburg am Main, Germany.
The museum exhibits stone inscriptions, artifacts, and tools from the Roman fort, including a collection of beneficiarii consulares inscriptions and Jupiter columns.
Between 107 and 260 AD, Roman legions established a military fort in Obernburg, using the Main River for timber transport from Spessart mountains.
The museum collection includes religious artifacts, such as a Mithras stone with sanctuary recreation and dedication stones illustrating Roman worship practices.
Located at Untere Wallstraße 29a, the museum opens Wednesday and Thursday from 14:00 to 16:00, and Sunday plus holidays from 14:00 to 17:00.
The museum houses a glass bowl from the 4th century AD, considered one of the earliest Christian artifacts discovered in this region.
