St. Laurentius Church presents red brick architecture with a high vaulted basement and a roof turret containing three bronze bells from Apolda.
The construction of this Catholic church concluded in 1893 when the city population growth made the existing Propstei church insufficient for services.
The church interior features colorful stained glass windows created between 1973 and 1981 by artist Gottfried Zawadzki from Kamenz.
Located at Stötteritzer Strasse 47 in Leipzig, the church serves as the parish church for the Catholic Parish of Saint Mary Magdalene Leipzig East.
