The Metallic tower of Fourvière is a steel framework tower which bears a striking resemblance to the Eiffel Tower.
Built between 1892 and 1894, it was used as an observation tower and a restaurant until 1953.
The tower is a symbol of the city of Lyon and offers panoramic views of the city.
Currently, the tower serves as a television transmission tower and is not accessible to the public.
Despite its resemblance to the Eiffel Tower, it's actually a few meters taller.
