Amphitheater of Lyon, Roman amphitheatre in France
The Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls is nestled in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon.
Built around 19 BCE, it hosted events for the Conventus Galliarum.
This classified historical monument hosted a variety of public spectacles during the Roman era.
Today, the site is an open-air venue reflecting Lyon's rich Gallo-Roman history.
It was among the earliest amphitheatres erected in Gaul.
