The Cathedral of Saint-Just and Saint-Pasteur features vaulted ceilings reaching 40 meters high and displays exceptional Gothic architectural elements throughout its structure.
Construction of this religious monument began in 1272 but remained incomplete when local officials refused to demolish city walls needed for building materials in 1534.
The cathedral treasury contains numerous medieval artifacts including a collection of liturgical objects, ivory pieces, gold items, and detailed textile works from different periods.
Visitors can purchase 15-day passes to explore the cathedral, which opens daily from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM and 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM between October and December.
The cathedral houses a massive organ from 1741, created by Christophe Moucherel, measuring 23 meters in height and containing 48 stops across four manuals.
