Lac de Naussac

The Lac de Naussac reservoir spans 1050 hectares at an elevation of 945 meters, making it the largest water body in the Lozère department.

The reservoir was constructed to regulate the water flow of the Allier River, transforming the local landscape and establishing a significant water management system.

The reservoir has developed into a center for water activities where locals and visitors practice sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, and swimming during summer months.

Two nautical bases around the reservoir provide equipment rentals and facilities for water sports, with a supervised swimming area operating in July and August.

The reservoir contains distinct fishing zones, including the main lake for predatory fish and the Mas d'Armand water body specifically designated for salmonids.
