Château d'Ombreval, Historical castle in Neuville-sur-Saône, France

The castle features a rectangular layout with a main western building and two L-shaped wings on the east side, surrounding an interior courtyard.

Camille de Neuville de Villeroy acquired the estate in 1630 and initiated substantial renovations in 1653, establishing the current appearance of the castle.

The French gardens and the 1636 nymphaeum demonstrate the architectural and landscaping preferences of 17th-century French nobility.

The castle now serves as the town hall of Neuville-sur-Saône, while its former gardens have transformed into a public park with ponds.

Four square corner pavilions flank the main structure, with a distinctive square tower positioned at the northeast angle of the main building.
