Mégalithes du Guilliguy

The Guilliguy site features a 2.20-meter-high menhir made of migmatite granite and a covered burial alley extending 10.40 meters with a right-angle entrance point.

Carbon-14 dating of charred residues from the entrance walls indicates the megalithic structure was constructed between 3585 and 3161 BC during the Neolithic period.

The site incorporates multiple archaeological elements, including flint tools, pottery fragments, and a burial chamber that demonstrates advanced architectural techniques of Neolithic societies.

Visitors can access the site via a 600-meter walk along the GR-34 hiking trail from the parking area near the port of Portsall restaurants.

The covered alley contains an unusual side entrance with a 40-centimeter circular opening that was sealed with a perfectly fitted stone disc.
