Chaumont Viaduct, Railway viaduct in Chaumont, France

The stone viaduct extends for 600 meters across the Suize Valley, featuring 50 arches that rise to a height of 52 meters.

In 1856, 2500 workers and 300 horses completed the construction in just 15 months, using 60,000 cubic meters of limestone masonry.

The viaduct serves as a symbol of 19th-century French engineering and appears in several films, including Le Pacha and Le Cerveau.

Visitors can access the viaduct from Route D619 toward Troyes-Paris and explore both levels, including the pedestrian walkway beneath the railway.

The structure received LED illumination in 2012, with 430 projectors lighting up its foundations and galleries during evening hours.
