Pic d'Aret rises to 2,939 meters in elevation, forming a distinct peak within the Pyrenees mountain range with a prominence of 543 meters.

The mountain ranks as the 16th highest peak among 621 summits within the Aire d'adhésion du Parc national des Pyrénées Occidentales region of France.

The northern face of Pic d'Aret stands alongside its neighboring peak, Pic de Tramezaïgues, creating a characteristic silhouette visible from Vallée d'Aure.

The ascent begins from the Artigues forest track at 1,275 meters, covering 6.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1,660 meters.

Near the summit, a viewpoint at 2,883 meters offers perspectives of more than sixty peaks exceeding 3,000 meters in elevation.
