Pori Art Museum, Art museum in Pori, Finland
The museum inhabits a renovated customs warehouse from 1860 near the Kokemäenjoki river, featuring multiple exhibition spaces across 800 square meters.
Professor Maire Gullichsen established the museum in 1979, creating a foundation for displaying Finnish art from the late 19th century to the 1980s.
The collections present works by international artists including Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Victor Westerholm, José Bedia Valdés, Ian McKeever, and Yoko Ono.
The museum will reopen in January 2025 after renovations, with adult admission set at 10 euros while students and visitors under 18 enter free.
The facility maintains a specialized library and picture archive dedicated to contemporary art, complementing its exhibition program with educational services.
