École Cygnaeus de Pori

École Cygnaeus de Pori is a three-story educational building in central Pori featuring Jugendstil architecture with large windows and symmetrical facades. The structure displays decorative stone elements across its exterior walls and sits prominently in the local streetscape.

Architect Usko Nyström designed this school building which opened in 1912 as an educational facility for the local community. During wartime periods the structure served as a military hospital.

The school maintains specialized programs in music and visual arts, while hosting students from 23 different countries in its international education section.

The school building is centrally located and easily reached from Pori's main streets. The surrounding park space provides a pleasant area to view the architecture from outside.

A statue called Äestäjä stands in the park directly in front of the school, created by sculptor Emil Cedercreutz. This artwork transforms the surrounding space into a cultural gathering point for the neighborhood.
