Karhuhalli, Indoor sports complex in Pori, Finland
Karhuhalli is an indoor sports complex in Pori featuring multiple athletic facilities under one roof. The main hall contains a football field with synthetic surface and a surrounding running track, plus dedicated spaces for weightlifting and other activities.
The building was completed in 1992 after more than a year of construction work. This achievement realized plans that had been discussed since 1955 for an indoor sports venue.
The name came from a public naming contest and was officially unveiled during Pori Day celebrations in September 1992. It reflects how the community helped shape this space for themselves.
The complex is open to visitors throughout the week, with different sports activities scheduled at specific times. It helps to check ahead which activities are available when you plan to visit.
The hall can hold up to 5000 spectators and features impressive interior dimensions that make it one of the larger facilities in the region. The design allows different events and training activities to happen at the same time without interfering with each other.
