St Fethlimidh's Cathedral, Anglican cathedral in Kilmore, Ireland
The cathedral exhibits middle-pointed Gothic architecture with pointed arches, stained glass windows, and detailed stonework throughout its exterior and interior spaces.
Built in 1860 to replace a smaller church, the cathedral incorporates a late twelfth-century Romanesque doorway from Trinity Island's ancient abbey in Lough Oughter.
The cathedral contains an original first edition of the Old Testament translated into Classical Irish by William Bedell, Bishop of Kilmore from 1629 to 1642.
Regular worship services occur in the cathedral, which received extensive renovations costing 1 million euros to maintain its structural integrity and historical features.
A large sycamore tree marks the burial site of Bishop William Bedell, while the adjacent community graveyard contains headstones dating back to 1688.
