Teampull Bheanáin

The stone structure measures only 3.2 by 2.1 meters internally, with high squared gables and thick walls made from massive stone blocks.

The church demonstrates early Irish religious architecture with its keyhole-shaped entrance and a single window facing toward the mainland of Ireland.

The church stands on a ridge near Kilronan and requires a 2-kilometer walk from The Cottages area along a marked trail.

Unlike traditional churches oriented east to west, this structure aligns north to south and features a south-facing altar for undetermined reasons.
