Jerusalem Theater, Performing arts center in Talbieh, Israel
The Jerusalem Theater includes four performance halls, with the Sherover Theatre offering 950 seats and the Henry Crown Symphony Hall accommodating 750 spectators.
The center began construction in 1964 after winning architects Michael Nadler, Shulamit Nadler, and Shmuel Bixson presented their design through a municipal competition.
The theater functions as a central venue for Israeli performing arts, hosting the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and presenting theater productions from across the country.
Located at 20 Marcus Street, the facility contains a dairy cafe, bookstore, and multiple gallery spaces that display rotating art exhibitions throughout the year.
The building combines modern architectural elements with traditional Jerusalem stone, creating different spaces for concerts, independent films, and artistic presentations.
