Jerusalem Chords Bridge
Jerusalem Chords Bridge, Footbridge in Jerusalem
The Jerusalem Chords Bridge is a footbridge, cable-stayed bridge and tram bridge, designed by Santiago Calatrava.
Santiago Calatrava was chosen to design the bridge in 2001 and it officially opened in 2008.
It serves as the centerpiece of Jerusalem's mass transit system.
Many use the bridge to cross over the busy intersection at the entrance to Jerusalem.
Its peculiar form, resembling a giant harp, often leads locals to call it the 'Harp Bridge'.
