Rohini

Rohini is a residential sub-city in North West Delhi organized into sectors containing apartment complexes, shops, schools, and parks. The layout makes it easy to navigate, with each sector designed to include homes for different income levels alongside everyday services.

The Delhi Development Authority began planning this area in the 1980s to create housing for people with different income levels. The project was part of a larger effort to accommodate the city's growing population and expand residential options.

The neighborhoods in Rohini serve as meeting places where residents gather to celebrate festivals and shop at local markets. These everyday interactions shape how people experience their community and give each sector its own character.

The Red Line metro connects Rohini with three stations, making it straightforward to reach other parts of Delhi. Public transportation is the best way to get around and explore different sectors without a car.

This area is home to India's first heliport, located near a metro station and operational since 2017. It was a pilot project to offer quick air travel connections for the city.
